Homepage Redesign: Prioritizing Your Time and Productivity

Putting your user experience first

Our latest June release included a revamped Homepage, the primary purpose of which was to help reduce the time you spend reviewing blocks, metrics, and risks. The updated Homepage design aims to make your experience simpler, more engaging, and enable you to navigate your assets even more quickly. At its core, the Homepage provides a set of filtered, prioritized and summarized views of only those objects specifically relating to you.

Finding your way around

The primary pane now features a tab button as a user interface element. This tab button allows you to switch between different views, rather than attempting to squeeze everything into the same window. With these separated views, the available space can be maximized to enable you to quickly navigate between content. Clicking on a line item opens up a specialized side menu where you can perform quick actions specific to that object: like updating block comments, adding target and actual values to metrics, approving ideas, or adding comments.

The following table describes the organization and function of each tab.

Stay on top of your work: Action items and News Feed

In addition to the primary pane, the Actions pane displays a list of objects that will require you to take some form of action. This may include updating a metric, modifying a block, or approving an idea. The number of recent actions will be displayed in a blue bubble on the primary navigation and the Actions pane. Performing the required action or clicking the cross beside each action item will remove it from your list. The News Feed lists other actions performed by other users that have occurred, concerning objects that you are directly involved with or are watching.
