Block Sidebar Menu Navigation
Clicking on the cog icon on a block will open the block overview page. It will also update the navigation options in the left-hand menu, below is a breakdown of the different options available in this new menu:
Overview – a quick view of the block and its current status.
Details – edit key attributes for the block, such as title, description, owner, start and end dates, priority, health calculation, focus area and milestones.
Manage – add, view and edit child blocks of the selected blocks.
Progress – update the progress (if the block is a leaf)
Dependencies – add dependant blocks to this block. The selected blocks start date will be adjusted to be the maximum end date of all its’ dependant blocks.
Metrics – add and edit metrics
Risks – manage the risks attached to a block and add new risks.
People – view and add people watching this block. You cannot remove watchers from your list after they have been added. If a Watcher no longer wants to follow your block, they will need to navigate to the People tab in the On Block left hand menu and click on the ‘Unwatch’ button
Comments – view and add comments related to this block. Please note, there is a character limit of 10,000 characters in the comments field. If you require more text than this, please attach as a document. Comments from the parent block (block directly above) will also appear in the comments list.
Documents – view or attach files and links which support this strategy. (For example, governance, budgetary approvals, meeting minutes, etc…)
Groups – view and apply security groups to this block to restrict who can see it. Please contact your administrator if you require a new group.
Tags – view and manage the tags associated with the selected block.
Export – export the selected block as a CSV, PNG, or as a library item in the Blocks Library.
Report – download or Email a CSV or HTML report for this block and its descendants.
Shift – change the selected blocks’s dates and / or give it a new parent. You must be the owner of the parent block to move a block
Delete – delete a block and it’s descendants. You can also choose to only delete the children and retain the selected blocks. Once deleted, blocks will appear in your blocks library where you can re-import them into the strategy. Note that progress and comments will be lost.
